It’s some of the best pizza you will ever eat.
My wife PattyAnn and I think it’s the best pizza we’ve ever had! It's fresh pizza with a thin crust. They make their own dough and cheese there.
And you have to order the dough in advance, which makes getting a reservation quite challenging! But it’s so worth the wait. They’re usually booked 2 to 3 weeks in advance!
Ravanesi Pizzeria Napoletana History
Ravanesi Pizzeria Napoletana exists for one simple reason: a deep love for Neapolitan pizza. It all started when David Ravanesi took a trip to Napoli. One bite of the real deal, and he was hooked. That was it. A full-blown obsession was born.
Cooking runs in the Ravanesi family bloodline. David’s great-grandfather, Pietro, ran a slaughterhouse back in the day. His grandfather, Mario, owned a buzzing pizzeria and bar called The Jack O' Lantern. (Locals just called it “The Jack").
His dad kept the tradition alive, slinging pizzas and running the bar after serving in the Marines. His mom, Mary, brought her culinary skills to Boston, where she ran a catering business and even starred in a TV cooking show called Quick and Easy Dishes.
David? He took the family legacy up a notch. Graduating with honors from the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, he trained under some of the best bakers in the world. He even studied with the VPN (Verace Pizza Napoletana USA) to master the authentic craft.
Now, all that passion and tradition come together in every pizza at Ravanesi Pizzeria Napoletana. It’s more than food. It’s family, history, and one man’s obsession, served fresh.

Ravanesi is open Tuesday through Saturday at 4:30. It’s a very small place, and you can even watch Dave as he makes all the pizza.
