Ocean Casino Resort announced in a news release on Monday, April 14, that it has planned more than $50 million in capital investments across the resort property. The development projects are part of a seven-year, $270 million property transformation that Ocean Casino Resort has been undertaking since it began in 2018.
Rooms and Suites Renovations
Ocean Casino Resort has embarked on a multi-year project to renovate all 1,860 guest rooms and suites at its property. The newly built suites provided elevated interior finishes and amenities such as a dining area, wet bar, and generous lounge seating for guests.
Food and Dining
Ocean Casino Resort is also opening two new restaurants in partnership with restaurateur Stephen Starr. The multi-million-dollar concepts will be located on Ocean's Lobby Level and are slated to open this summer.
The South Jersey and Philadelphia-area favorite LaScala's Fire at Ocean will deliver classic Italian American cuisine to guests with items such as a ricotta board, cheesesteak egg rolls, and a meatball trio. Everything at LaScala's Fire at Ocean will be homemade. The restaurant will be located on the casino level across from Villain & Saint. It is anticipated to open during the early summer.
Guests will soon be able to start their day at Blend. This venue will serve hand-crafted smoothies and acai bowls. Located on Ocean's lobby level next to the Eclipse Pool, Blend will invite people to unwind and recharge.
Asian Gambling Expansion
Ocean will debut a larger Asian Gaming space by the summer of 2025 within its casino. Designed by R2Architects, the footprint of the gaming space will double in size, from 4,000 to 8,000 square feet. It will offer 32 gaming tables, including Mini Baccarat and Pai Gow Poker.
18 Mini Golf and Bar
Ocean's 18 Mini Golf & Bar will debut as a new multi-million-dollar entertainment destination. Opening later this summer, it will feature a state-of-the-art course and two stories of immersive fun. Attractions include two holograms, including a 12-foot great white shark over the main bar. It will be located next to LaScala's Fire on the casino level.
