West Chester University (WCU) is recognizing the 45th anniversary of Earth Day by hosting its Third Annual Zero Waste Summit. Hosted by the WCU Office of Sustainability (OoS), the event will take place on Tuesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the ballroom of Sykes Student Union, 110 W. Rosedale Ave. The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

With its theme “It's Not a Disposable Earth,” the event invites the public to visit free informational tables that will feature “how-to” demonstrations about living a low- or zero-waste lifestyle. Hands-on presentations, activities, and prize drawings will be available.

Attendees are encouraged to visit the following vendors for several "Green Light Specials" presentations:

Students from several WCU classes, including global studies, sustainability, honors, and sociology, will display and present their research related to sustainability and waste reduction during the event.
