USA TODAY Names Wildwood Boardwalk Among Top 10 Boardwalks in the Nation

A popular Jersey Shore destination has risen to the top of USA TODAY's 10Best list as having the best boardwalk in the United States.

On Wednesday, April 16, USA TODAY announced that its readers had named the Wildwood Boardwalk the best in the country in its 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.

"It's thrilling to see our boardwalk named the best in the nation," said Louis M. Belasco, the Greater Wildwoods tourism improvement and development authority (GWTIDA) executive director, in a statement shared with CBS News Philadelphia. "This recognition is truly special because it comes from the visitors, residents, and fans of the Wildwoods who cherish our boardwalk. The Wildwoods Boardwalk is more than just a destination — it's a place where unforgettable memories are made. We're thrilled that visitors celebrate The Wildwoods and our boardwalk as a premier gem of the Jersey Shore."

The Wildwood Boardwalk isn't the only Jersey Shore boardwalk to earn a spot on USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards list. Here's a look at what made the top 10 list:

USA TODAY's "Best Boardwalk" announcement follows the Wildwoods' record-breaking 2024 tourism season. A full events calendar will also draw crowds to the region in 2025. These events include the Barefoot Country Music Fest from June 18-22 and the Wildwoods “Thunder Over The Waves” airshow from Sept. 5-6.
