After following Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown's stolen Mercedes from Haddonfield into Camden, New Jersey, police caught 25-year-old Luis Segarra early Monday.

Security cameras caught sight of the car near Louis and Morton streets. The case got attention when Brown posted online, "Just bring the whip back. I won't press charges," according to 6ABC.

When the thief dumped the Mercedes by a construction site, officers watched from afar. A quick foot chase led to Segarra's arrest on Mt. Ephriam's 1500 block.

Camden County Police Deputy Chief Janell Simpson told 6ABC, "There is no indication that Segarra knew the car belonged to A.J. Brown."

Local resident Bonita Banks-Goodman saw it all happen. "I was scared by the heavy police presence including stun guns and state troopers during the arrest," she said.

The Mercedes was returned to Brown without any damage. Officials haven't said what charges Segarra faces yet.

Since the stolen car crossed state lines, police used advanced tracking tools and camera systems to find their suspect.

State troopers helped Camden County police make the arrest. Nobody got hurt during the incident - not the officers or the suspect.

Brown's social media message spread quickly, getting thousands of views within hours of the theft.

Since joining the Eagles in 2019, Brown has become a star. His $100 million contract extension in 2022 puts him among the NFL's top-paid receivers.

The city's camera network and quick police response made finding the car possible. These security systems help cops fight crime throughout Camden.
