The Cape May County Bridge Commission issued a reminder to motorists that tolls on the Ocean City-Longport Bridge will go cashless beginning on Saturday, May 10.
Once the Commission has transitioned to all-electronic tolling, it will no longer accept Bridge Tickets as payment.
According to the Patch of Ocean City, the Commission will buy back unused tickets. Customers with the tickets will receive a refund at the last sale price of $1.20 per ticket returned. To receive payment for your Bridge Tickets, customers will need to complete a form found on the Commission's website and return the tickets by June 30, 2025, either in person at the front desk security office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or via mail to:
Cape May County Bridge Commission, 4 Moore Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210
Bridge Tickets for buyback will not be accepted at the Commission's bridges. The Commission will process the unused tickets and mail payments to customers. Customers should allow up to 30 days to receive payment.
A Patch of Ocean City report noted that drivers already using the E-ZPass system won't experience any changes. Tolls will be charged with E-ZPass or Toll By Plate to allow drivers to keep driving through the toll booths without an E-ZPass transponder.
For questions about the Bridge Tickets buyback program, contact the Commission at 609-465-7806 or email kerri.may@co.cape-may.nj.us.
