The Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show will host its 98th annual event from June 6 to 8. An exclusive, free opportunity to preview the art before the festival begins will also be a part of the festivities.
According to a PhillyVoice report, more than 140 artists from around the nation, including local student artists, will exhibit their work around Rittenhouse Square beginning Friday, June 6. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 8.
The Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show website features a complete list of this year's participating artists and a map showing where each will be set up along the perimeter of the park.
A show preview will be held in the Rittenhouse Hotel lobby, located at 210 W. Rittenhouse Square, from today through Wednesday, June 4. At this preview, the public can get a first look at some of the art pieces that will be displayed during the show. On Wednesday, June 4, a free meet-and-greet with the artists will be held in the hotel lobby from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. RSVP for the preview event online.
The Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show began in 1928 as a student-led art showcase. Today, the event has become the nation's oldest outdoor art show and one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for artists and art collectors.
