Wakefern Food Corp. is expanding the products of Philadelphia-based gourmet food brand Di Bruno Bros. to several nationally recognized retailers. ShopRite, Stop & Shop, and Acme will soon be home to several of the Di Bruno Bros. product line.

According to an NJBiz report, Wakefern Food Corp. said it will expand distribution of the label's most popular products, including:

  • Artisanal crostini (sea salt, olive oil, and parmesan)
  • Oven-baked grissini (sesame, olive oil, and rosemary)
  • Signature cheese spreads (port wine, roasted garlic and herb, cheddar horseradish, smoked gouda and beer, and Abbruzee)
  • Specialty jams (blood orange and grappa, strawberry and prosecco, and fig and acacia honey)

Wakefern Food Corp. acquired Di Bruno Bros. last fall. The acquisition came approximately six months after Wakefern co-op member Brown's Super Stores Inc. assumed control of operations at the Di Bruno Bros. five retail locations and bottle shop in the Philadelphia region.

Established in 1939 in the South Philadelphia Italian Market, specialty food retailer Di Bruno Bros. imports Italian and European specialty groceries. Its product offerings include handcrafted cheeses and authentic Italian snacks, along with diverse specialty items. The offerings combine local and global culinary traditions for customers, food service operators, and retailers across the United States.
