‘World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’ Coming to Funplex

The Funplex in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, will join communities across the nation to host "The World's Largest Swimming Lesson" on Thursday, June 26. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the importance of swimming as a valuable skill, especially during the summer months.

This year, The Funplex will offer kids with any sensory needs the opportunity to participate in an adaptive swimming lesson in a separate pool with instructors trained to work with children with sensory needs.

Due to an overwhelming public response, registration for the June 26 event is now full. However, individuals interested in participating are encouraged to submit their names for the program's waitlist.

According to ABC 6 News, The Funplex decided to make this year's event more inclusive based on feedback from The Funplex's sensory nights. During sensory nights, families can enjoy indoor activities with reduced lighting and lower noise volumes. Kids can also visit the sensory room when they need a rest from the activities.
