Human Robot has opened what it calls a "new concert" at its location on 12 W. Mechanic St., the brewery announced in a Facebook post. It is located in a 900-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Great Barn Taproom, which closed following a fire last year.
The New Hope location is the first Bucks County enterprise for the brewery. Human Robot began five years ago with its flagship taproom in Kensington.
According to a Patch of New Hope-Lambertville report, Human Robot is introducing a new concept called "Doubles," which permits customers to enjoy craft beer and collectible trading cards in one place. Doubles will serve a selection of Human Robot's beers along with vintage and modern packs of baseball, basketball, football, and hockey trading cards.
Human Robot will bring in a partner, local artist and illustrator Keith Shore, who will assist with design, art, and some "special extras" that will be revealed.
According to a PhillyBurbs.com report, Shore's distinctive style was featured in Topps' 2020 Project, a 400-card series displaying the work of 20 artists who were each asked to remake some of the most iconic baseball cards. Shore's rendition of Topps' 1989 Ken Griffey Jr. card, one of 20 he created for the series, had the highest run. More than 99,000 copies of the card were printed.
