The Philadelphia Union scored a comeback victory against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, July 26, thanks to the efforts of Union forward Mikael Uhre. Uhre garnered all three points the Union needed to secure a late-game 3-1 win over the Rapids.

"It means a lot getting back on the scoresheet, but even more just helping the team get that win, because this is huge. We're on a great run, and now we can keep going," Uhre said in a post-game statement.

Uhre boosted his total goals to four this season. He becomes the fifth player in Union history to contribute more than 40 goals across all the Union's competitions.

With Saturday's win, the Philadelphia Union propels to the front of the Supporters Shield race and leads the Eastern Conference with only nine games left in regular season play.

Following a period of rest and regrouping, the Union will connect with the Eintract Frankfurt for a match on Saturday, Aug. 2. The Union resume league play on Saturday, Aug. 9, against the Toronto FC.

Meanwhile, Tai Baribo, the Union's top scorer, is currently in contract negotiations with the league for a new deal as his existing contract nears its end. According to The Philadelphia InquirerBaribo has expressed a desire to remain with the team despite not receiving an appreciable offer.
