The owner of a Powerball ticket purchased at the ShopRite on Fox Street in Philadelphia's East Falls neighborhood is the winner of a $2 million prize.
According to Pennsylvania Lottery officials, the grocery store sold a Powerball with Power Play ticket that matched four of the five white balls drawn: 3-11-27-40-58, and the red Powerball 10 to win $2 million on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $1 million.
According to The Patch of Philadelphia, the ShopRite store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials noted that winners are not announced until their tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winners are advised to sign the backs of their tickets immediately.
Online winnings are credited automatically after processing, and players can claim prizes through the designated online platform. Players can go online to the Pennsylvania Lottery website for more information about how to file a prize claim.
