Philadelphia’s most magical waterfront tradition is back just in time for the holiday season! The Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest 2025–2026 officially opens Friday, November 28, transforming the Delaware River Waterfront into a festive playground for locals and visitors alike. Presented by the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC), this annual event has been spreading seasonal cheer for more than 30 years — and this year’s edition is one of the most exciting yet.

Running through March 2026, Winterfest offers a full slate of cozy winter fun. Skate across the NHL-sized rink, warm up in firepit lounges or private cabins, and soak in postcard-worthy views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Seasonal amusements like the Ferris wheel, arcade games, and the beloved holiday tree all return, while new attractions — including Jacquin’s Porch Bar with winter-themed cocktails — add fresh flavor to the festivities.

Admission to RiverRink Winterfest is free, with pay-as-you-go options for skating and attractions. Special perks include free skate admission for Independence Blue Cross members, military personnel, and first responders (with valid ID). On-site favorites such as Chickie’s & Pete’s, Skelly’s Pizza Port, Philly Taco, and other local eateries will keep everyone fueled with classic Philly comfort food and festive treats.

Beyond the rink, Cherry Street Pier invites visitors to explore the holiday spirit through art and creativity. Kicking off Small Business Saturday on November 29, the Pier launches its Artist Gift Guide featuring handmade jewelry, prints, textiles, and unique gifts from local makers. The Holiday Art Show runs from December 5–21, showcasing works from Cherry Street Pier’s talented artists in residence.

Celebrate the season’s biggest moments with marquee events, including Opening Weekend (November 28–30), the Holiday Tree Lighting powered by PECO (December 5), and New Year’s Eve Fireworks on December 31. With twinkling lights, live entertainment, and Philly pride, RiverRink Winterfest 2025 promises memories that will last long after the ice melts.
