Sons of Barley Beer Company in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, held their soft opening on Monday, Nov. 10. Opening-week operations will be on a limited schedule, followed by a full seven-day schedule beginning Nov. 22, with plans for a grand opening.

Sons of Barley will reopen on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will adhere to the following schedule this week:

  • Friday, Nov. 14: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 15: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Nov. 16: noon to 6 p.m.

The venue sits at 998 Mantua Pike (Route 45), across from the former eSporta Fitness Center, in the same complex as Heights Liquor.

According to 42Freeway.com, the brewery plans 12 taps at full capacity and will offer alcohol-based seltzer in various flavors, allowing customers to craft custom seltzer blends.

Owners John Kelly and Scott Rigilano said they have spent five years developing recipes focused on approachable, drinkable beers.

The tasting room spans approximately 2,000 square feet, seats around 60, and features a large bar crafted from bowling lane wood (Lane 11 from Turnersville Bowlero). It's the lane where Rigilano bowled one of his perfect 300 games.
