The Philadelphia Mummers Parade will celebrate its 125th anniversary on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2026. The parade begins at City Hall at 9 a.m. and continues south to Washington Avenue, ending around 5 p.m.

According CBS News Philadelphia, parade organizers gathered on Thursday, Nov. 20, to announce details about where to see the parade in person and the return of the title sponsor, Live! Casino and Hotel. Festival organizers noted the Mummers Parade anniversary as especially significant in 2026, coinciding with America's 250th anniversary.

WFMZ-TV 69 News confirmed five divisions, 35 brigades, and 10,000 Mummers are set to strut their way through Philadelphia for the event.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime, you know, momentous occasion to us. We want to really, you know, celebrate it as best we can,” said Sam Regalbuto, president of the Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association.

To honor their 125th anniversary, the Mummers will release their first-ever plush doll. The doll, a smiling, red-haired woman wearing an elegantly plumed and shimmery jacket, is depicted playing a banjo. While the doll isn't readily available, it is expected to appear in the coming weeks in the Live! Casino and Hotel gift shop.

According to WHYY, the parade, which is free to the public, will be broadcast on WDPN and METV2 and simulcast in the Lehigh Valley on WFMZ, Channel 69. It will air on cable television by most major carriers, including Comcast, Fios, DirectTV, and Dish. Viewers can also watch the parade livestreamed on the WFMZ website and mobile app.

In 2023, a USA TODAY poll ranked the Mummers as the No. 1 parade in America. Results from the 2025 poll are still pending.
