Zaxbys will open its first New Jersey location in Magnolia on Monday, Dec. 15, at 804 N. White Horse Pike, about a mile from the New Jersey Turnpike.
The Magnolia site marks Zaxbys debut in New Jersey and the U.S. Northeast, expanding the fast-casual chicken-finger chain beyond the South. Magnolia's menu features classic Zaxbys offerings — wings (traditional and boneless), chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, sandwiches, and salads — and sauces like Zax Sauce, Spicy Zax Sauce, and Tongue Torch Sauce.
According to a statement, the GSP Group, the Zaxby's New Jersey franchisee, plans to open six South Jersey locations.
"This is just the beginning," said Taral Patel, operations partner at GSP Group, to The Patch of Gloucester Township, New Jersey. "We're excited to expand across the state and bring Zaxbys to even more fans throughout the Northeast."
Although most New Jersey locations have not been shared, 42 Freeway reported last month that a Deptford restaurant is in the works.
Magnolia's restaurant space will span approximately 3,000 square feet and offer 40 seats, along with drive-thru service.
According to the Patch, Zaxbys is expected to employ about 50 people, with hiring information available on Indeed. Interested applicants can apply online or in person once the restaurant opens.
The Zaxbys website notes that the restaurant began in 1990 in Statesboro, Georgia.
