What Happened to Rob Reiner and His Wife?
On Sunday, Dec. 14, calls came into the Los Angeles Fire Department at around 3:30 pm. First responders state that when they arrived at the home, they found a man and a woman dead. Upon discovery, Romy notified police that her brother Nick had been living at the home with their parents and was possibly behind the incident. Nick was nowhere to be found when police arrived, and his sister told police that he should be considered "dangerous."
PEOPLE reports that Nick admitted to a long battle with drug addiction in a 2016 interview. The addiction led to many issues within his life, including him being homeless at one point.
Nick has since been arrested on suspicion of murdering his parents. According to sources, Nick and his father got into a "big fight" at a Christmas party the night before the couple was found dead in their home.
TMZ first reported that the big fight took place at Conan O'Brien's Christmas party, where Nick showed up looking "out of place." Nick attended the parting in a hoodie while others wore suits and dresses. Reports state that he was acting "strange" at the party and did not interact much.
The day after the Christmas party, Rob and Michele were found in their home with their throats slit. Nick has been arrested and booked for the murder. No information on why has yet been released.
