We are honored that you are interested in WMGK publicizing your charitable event or campaign. Tens of thousands of listeners use wmgk.com each month. If you have a fundraiser or community event coming up MGK may be able to help you spread the word by posting the event to our “MGK Cares” Community Events page.

Below you’ll find the criteria that we’d like you to adhere to when submitting a public service announcement to WMGK. We do our best to accommodate all requests and submissions we receive, but we cannot guarantee that your PSA will be posted or aired. If you don’t adhere to the criteria below is it less likely that you’re event will be posted or aired.

Please fill out the form below and feel free to upload a photo, graphic or pdf with your info if you have one.

MGK Cares

Donation for Charity Auction/Raffle

WMGK receives hundreds of requests to assist charity auctions/raffles each year. We do our best to support as many of these efforts as we can. If you are interested in receiving this type of support from MGK, simply email Alex Hunt with event info and your request. Depending on our available prizing inventory, we will let you know if we are able to help you with your request. All MGK donations will come in the form of items and not cash.

Radio PSA Submission Guidelines

Length, format, pronunciation:

We will use the voice of a professional announcer to prerecord your message. PSA announcements should be 20-30 seconds. This means at most 10 lines of text in Arial 14 point. When writing for radio less is certainly more.  Look over your announcements for words that could be pronounced incorrectly if someone isn’t familiar with your organization. Use punctuation to help the announcer figure out where you want him to pause or emphasize a word.

A public service announcement (PSA) should aim to effectively reach listeners about your organization’s event or a health and safety tip. We have a list of PSAs online on our MGK Cares page and we have on-air PSAs.

When writing your PSA , the message should be focused and understandable. Keep in mind that someone may hear your message while driving, cooking dinner, or doing yard work. People will not retain everything they hear. If you feel you have information worth repeating – do it.

Also, you want to keep in mind who you are talking to: in the case of WMGK, it is classic rock fans.
