6 Fun Highlights From The MGK Brew Blast 2024

MGK Brew Blast 2024 took place on the deck of the New Jersey Battleship on Saturday, September 7th.

Listeners and staff enjoyed samples of cold beers and the sound of MGK’s House Band, Porch, during their live performance. They were also given swag from Live Casino and had the chance to win prizes from the MGK table.

Guests took a self-guided tour of the historic battleship before making their way to the main tent, where the beer tasting began! Over 50 different beers were available to sample, and there were even some other alcoholic drinks to try, like White Claw and Beat Box.

A lot of the Breweries were local Philadelphia or South Jersey-based, giving people new and unique flavors they cannot find anywhere else! We love being able to support some of our favorites while finding new ones to mix into the rotation. Some fan favorites included Double Nickel, Evil Genius, Victory, and Cape May.

It was a beautiful day for the MGK Brew Blast on the Camden Waterfront with views of our Philadelphia Skyline… until the rain came in! While the rain left as quickly as it came in, it left all of us wet! It also ended Porch’s set early, but they were able to keep the jams going once it passed with a smaller set. That just means you’ll have to come out to MGK’s Big Bad Bonfire (stay tuned for the announcement soon) to see them play again, for real!

  Our 2023 House Band Winner, PORCH, rocked the decks with all the classic rock hits! Guests were able to sing and dance or even enjoy a meal as they listened to the great live music. Even after it rained, Porch was able to keep the show going. You'll have to catch them on stage again at our Big Bad Bonfire.

  These MGK listeners designed their own shirts for the occasion! They came fully prepared with their pretzel necklaces and matching shirts! You can tell this group are sampling PROS! EJ needed to hop in a picture with these awesome listeners!

  I'm pretty sure you could hear this group of listeners across the ship no matter where you were! They absolutely brought the energy and good party vibes- just look at that shirt! They even helped hold PORCH's tent down so their equipment wouldn't get wet during the rain. Definition of loyal listeners right here!

  The tent crowded up with listeners ready to sample their favorite beers. Some stands offered cider and spirit options also. It's not Philadelphia without groups of people representing the Phillies and the Eagles. We even saw so many people wearing funny beer shirts!

  102.9 MGK enjoyed a great event with the whole community. Listeners from all over the area attended the event. They got free fanny packs full of swag from Live Casino and were able to spin the MGK Wheel for prizes all while enjoying beer!
