If you’re the parent of a child diagnosed with Autism or other learning disability, the search for the right educational placement for your child can be daunting. As a mom myself with a son on the Spectrum (he’s 27 now), I know firsthand the frustration of advocating for your child in a “not always very understanding” public school system. I’ve been doing a series of interviews with representatives from various schools, organizations and programs that are focused on doing what’s best for your child (whether he/she is still in school or now graduated into the world). In this conversation with David Schultheis, President and CEO of the Pathway School in Norristown, we learn about the school’s mission, how they are preparing their students for the future and a few upcoming events.
