Songwriter EY grew up surrounded by a lot of musical influence, he sat for countless hours watching his Dad play the guitar and his uncle compose music in his early years. At 16 EY taught himself how to play the piano and started programming ideas at the age of 17.
Born and raised in Islington then moved to West London aged 15, EY draws inspiration from anywhere ‘one small thing can trigger a whole idea that may lead to a whole new track’. ”
In this episode of 100 Years of Radio -100 Years of Hit Makers, we sit down with EY to hear stories behind the lyrics and songs he’s helped create including his work on Meek Mill’s ‘Championships.’
100 Years of Radio – 100 Years of Hit Makers special podcast series is produced in partnership with Beasley Media Group, XPERI (HD Radio), and BMI in celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the first commercial radio broadcast.
