Recently, I chatted with Steve Howe, acclaimed Yes guitarist, about the band’s upcoming YESTIVAL that is being launched here as an homage to the incredible fan base that Yes enjoys in the Philly area. Steve also talks about the often tangled history of Yes (members in/members out), Jon Anderson and the newest voice of Yes, Jon Davison. The band will perform two Yes albums in their entirety at this show: THE YES ALBUM and CLOSE TO THE EDGE. Other bands on the bill will include: Annie Haslam and Renaissance, The Musical Box, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy and more. Roger Dean, the artist who has provided the iconic images for Yes album covers all these years will also be on hand.
YESTIVAL is a day into night event at The Susquehanna Bank Center on Saturday August 3. Tickets available thru ticketmaster.com
