Robbie and Joe have discussed the Joker movie a few times in episode previous, swaying back and forth into various stages of excitement and hype. Now that the movie is out and both have seen it, they’ve feel somewhere in the middle but for varying degrees of reasons why. It’s no surprise that Joaquin Phoenix was the best part of the film, while the rest of it had its moments but ultimately fell short of what Robbie and Joe expected it could have been. They also discuss a few ways that the moment could’ve have improved.
