July 12020 - August 312020

This summer, Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley is hosting their first-ever virtual talent show, Stars At Home. More than 45 former local wish children are participating in this friendly competition to raise funds for wishes. These wish kids took videos of their talents at home which the public can vote on to determine a winner. A wide range of talents will be featured during this virtual event which include singing, dancing, gymnastics, magic and much more!

Community members are encouraged to follow along with Stars At Home on thechapter’s social media sites (@MakeAWishPHL). Make-A-Wish® will be sharing new wish kid talent videos on their channels each day through the end of August. Community memberscan vote for their favorite act with a $5 donation (virtual “high fives” for wish kids). Every $5donation counts as one vote. For example, $25 = 5 votes.

The top three finishers will receive fantastic prize packages thanks to local sponsors: 25 gallons of Turkey Hill ice cream, $100 Burger King gift card courtesy of US Restaurants or an $100 American Express gift card.

“Wish kids are some of the most amazingly talented individuals I have ever encountered,” said Dennis Heron, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley. “Over my 20+ years serving as CEO, I’ve seen our wish kids performon stage with the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra, have a song recorded professionally ina recording studio, and play ice hockey in a practice round with The Philadelphia Flyers…and that’s just three examples.”

All funds raised through Stars At Home will help grant wishes for kids in the local community. Wishes need stars like you! Learn more at
