Featuring engaging talks, hands-on activities, special exhibitions, and a variety of other informal science education experiences for all ages, the Festival aims to provide opportunities for all
Philadelphians to positively engage with and build a community around science, engineering, and technology. Numerous events are held throughout the region, culminating in the Science Carnival on the Parkway. The Philadelphia Science Festival runs from April 16th – April 25th.
This year the Science Festival will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be expanding some of its events to try to engage with adults as much as kids. They Franklin Institute is working with local restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops on a program called Engineered Eats. Each venue is creating custom food or beverage items with a specific ingredient, this year the Rhubarb. Some of the venues signed on so far include Federal Donuts, Lolita, Jamonera, Bud & Marilyns, Barbuzzo, Little Nona’s, Varga Bar, The Bourse, La Colombe, and more.
