Join Andre Gardner and The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of JDRF for the tenth annual Rockin’ Docs for Diabetes Cure benefit concert and fundraising event. The concert will feature four area rock bands (Rose’s Cross, Chicago Nine, RD George and Rightback), each containing doctors from the Philadelphia area who pledged their time for this worthy cause.
The past nine Rockin’ Docs concerts have been great successes raising over $400,000 to benefit JDRF and support JDRF’s mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D) and its complications. Rockin’ Docs was created in 2010 by Ken Einhorn M.D., Jeremy Jaffe M.D., and Nancy Wolfson (all of whom are parents of children with type 1 diabetes (T1D)). While attending a JDRF fundraiser, Ken and Jeremy discussed how they could contribute to finding a cure. It turned out that both men were physicians and drummers in bands. Together, Ken and Jeremy decided to use their musical talents along with Nancy’s business knowledge to create this unique event to raise funds for T1D research.
