MGK Turkey Drop 2023 will take place the morning of Tuesday, November 21st, and all listeners can visit one of 12 ACME locations to make donations.

102.9 WMGK partners with ACME, CityTeam Philadelphia, and Dietz & Watson to collect donations of frozen turkeys, cash, checks, and “free turkey” coupons to give to families who are less fortunate before the Thanksgiving holiday.

A Memorable Tradition

The Kimmel Center will be our primary location. The Matt Cord Show with Steve Vassalotti will also broadcast live from 6am-10am, encouraging people to stop and make their donations.

The rest of the MGK air staff will be at various locations to help with the collections and thank our amazing listeners for their generosity. The event has created the perfect sense of community and hospitality in the days leading up to Thanksgiving in past years.

Listen to The Matt Cord Show with Steve Vassalotti Weekdays from 6am-10am on 102.9 WMGK.

The donation link for MGK Turkey Drop will be available soon in the weeks leading up to the collection. Check the main event page in the weeks leading up to the 21st, two days before Thanksgiving, for more updates.

Checks should be made to: CityTeam Philadelphia. No food other than turkeys will be part of the accepted donations.

The ACME locations are scattered all throughout the tri-state area. There are three locations in South Jersey, two in the city of Philadelphia, and seven in the PA suburbs.

Each store will open at 7am on the morning of the 21st, and MGK will collect donations until 12pm. Choose one of the 12 locations closest to you. Everyone at 102.9 WMGK hopes to see you on the 21st for one of the best community traditions leading up the Thanksgiving holiday.
