After 11 unsuccessful nominations for his band Chic, Nile Rodgers will be honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with an Award For Musical Excellence at the 32nd annual induction ceremony, taking place April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Nile Rodgers is easily one of the music’s most prolific producers working with an incredibly diverse roster of artists, from Diana Ross to Mick Jagger to Duran Duran, but one of his biggest musical contributions is his work on David Bowie’s massive 1983 album Let’s Dance.
