Billy Joel Nabs Wrigley Record
It was a record-setting night for Billy Joel on Friday (August 11) at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
The performance made Joel the first artist to perform at the hallowed baseball stadium four years in a row and the first to play career total of six times at Wrigley. Joel honored the occasion by playing Steve Goodman‘s home town favorite “Go Cubs Go” as well as Chicago‘s “25 Or 6 To 4.”
Joel plays the next show of his monthly Madison Square Garden residency on August 21 and has three more baseball stadium shows — August 30 at Fenway Park in Boston, September 9 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia and September 21 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis — on his itinerary.
