The Eagles Announce Headlining Tour Dates
The Eagles will be continuing their reunion flight this fall.
The group has announced a run of four new “An Evening with the Eagles” shows, starting October 17 at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina, followed by October 20 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, October 24 at KFC Yum1 Center in Louisville and October 27 at the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit — late co-founder Glenn Frey‘s home town.
Tickets for the four new dates go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday [August 19] with an American Express card member pre-sale starting Tuesday. VIP packages will also be available via Eagles.com.
The group is also playing September 30 in Seattle after debuting its new lineup — with Frey’s son Deacon and Vince Gill — at The Classic concerts during July in Los Angeles and New York.
Guitarist Joe Walsh tells us the success of those shows led he, Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit to decide to continue with more dates:
“We figured we would at least try it and see where it went…And we tried it out in Los Angeles and it was just magic. It really was. It was received wonderfully and the energy that we all have is very healing, so I think Glenn would be proud of this and we decided to do it some more.”
