Forty-eight years ago today (November 10), Sesame Street debuted.  While obviously aimed at young children, the show has featured countless musical guests that the adults could enjoy, too.  Here are some of our favorites!

Billy Joel and Marlee Matlin performing “Just The Way You Are”

This Billy Joel classic was reworked by the “Piano Man” as an ode to everyone’s favorite trashcan dweller, Oscar The Grouch.  It’s hard not to fall in love with this song (and Oscar) even more.

Johnny Cash performs “Nasty Dan”

Man…Oscar gets some of the best visitors!  This time, Johnny Cash stops by to sing “Nasty Dan,” which is a little more up Oscar’s alley.  Gotta love the “Johnny Trash” pun, too!

B.B. King Sings About The Letter “B”

Can you think of anyone more perfect to sing a song about the letter “B” than B.B. King?  Neither can we!

Little Richard Sings “Rubber Duckie”

Bathtime never sounded as soulful.

Smokey Robinson and “U Really Got A Hold On Me”

The Motown legend struggling with a Muppetized letter “U” is simply hilarious, and you can tell Smokey is having a blast in the process.

Stevie Wonder scatting with Grover

Stevie and Grover are killing us with cuteness in this clip.  Plus, Stevie’s shirt/vest/necklace combination is ridiculously on point.

(Sir Paul McCartney inducting Foo Fighters? C'mon now!) She's also well-versed in etiquette and extraordinarily nice. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
