Legendary Doors drummer John Densmore celebrates his birthday today (December 1), and in his honor, we’re sharing this delightfully vintage clip of him touring iconic Doors landmarks in their hometown of Los Angeles. The footage is a bit grainy but Densmore’s audio and commentary are great.
This video from an early E! Channel special covers all the major hot spots, from The Whisky on the Sunset Strip and beyond. (This writer’s personal favorite was Densmore pointing out the band’s old office space and how a strip club that was located next door has since been transformed into a fast food joint.)
