Latest On John Mayer, Dead & Company
Dead & Company’s John Mayer, still recovering from an emergency appendectomy on Tuesday (December 6) that forced the group to postpone its New Orleans concert that night, is “in good spirits” according to an announcement from the band.
Mayer has tweeted a message as well: “Thank you everyone for the well wishes. had surgery yesterday and woke up to see some amazingly kind and loving tweets. I’m so sorry that we couldn’t finish out the last few dates of the tour. This band and these shows mean to the world to me. Love you all dearly.”
In the wake of Mayer’s medical situation, Dead & Company has, in fact, postponed the final two shows of its fall tour, tonight (December 7) in Orlando and Friday (December 8) in Sunrise, Fla., with a promise to reschedule the concerts soon. The group is offering refunds if so desired, however.
The group played a dozen dates on the tour, which began November 12 in New York.
