VIDEO: The Greatness of Duane Allman

Today's featured guitarist in MGK's Top 20 Guitarists is Duane Allman aka Skydog. As much as I love his work with The Allman Brothers, I'm also blown away by the work he did with others in his short life (only 24 years!!). Listen to the slow burn intensity of his work with Boz Scaggs on "Loan Me A Dime" or his gorgeous mournful dobro on "Please Be With Me" with one of his fave projects, Cowboy.

Another one of my faves is his twangy electric sitar playing on the King Curtis version of "Games People Play."
