Rumors Swirl Around New AC/DC Album
The past few years have been incredibly rough for AC/DC, but if recent sources and reports are correct, the band could be working on new music.
Per Canadian writer Steve Newton on two different sites (Ear of Newt and Vancouver Free Press site Georgia Straight), Stevie Young and Phil Rudd were spotted in downtown Vancouver, which happen to be where AC/DC recorded their past three studio albums. Newton stands by his sources, who claim to have talked with both Young and Rudd.
Obviously, nothing has been announced or confirmed and everything can really be just taken as speculation as of now, but bringing Rudd back into the fold is certainly a curious decision. You may recall Rudd got into a heap of legal trouble back in 2014 having to do with charges of “attempting to procure a murder” and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. He’s kept a relatively low profile since his eight-month house arrest sentence, with this being the first major piece of news about him in some time.
As with everything AC/DC, we’ll have to just wait and see.
