5 Cheesy Classic Rock Music Videos
Today (September 5) is “National Cheese Pizza Day.” While you could (and should) celebrate by actually eating cheese pizza, we think you should also check out this gallery of some of the cheesiest music videos in classic rock. Truthfully, this list could go on for quite a long time, but we’re exercising restraint and only listed a handful of our absolute favorites.
Journey – “Separate Ways”
Air instruments…all of those random extreme close-ups…that woman who’s just there walking around. “Separate Ways” is a great song, but the video…not so much.
Steve Perry – “Oh Sherrie”
Proving he could bring the cheese all on his own, Steve Perry’s video for “Oh Sherrie” offers that magical premise of being a video within a video. Think of it as the music video equivalent of a “Turducken.”
Beach Boys – “Kokomo”
Easily one of the cheesiest Beach Boys songs ever. Add in the clips from Cocktail and John Stamos on the steel drum, and the inclusion of this video is a no-brainer.
David Bowie & Mick Jagger – “Dancing In The Street”
Dancing…SO MUCH DANCING!

Billy Squier – “Rock Me Tonight”
Speaking of dancing, remember when this video killed Billy Squier’s career and also showed us how he likely dances around his home when he’s alone and singing into a hairbrush?
