The Elton John film Rocketman has been dubbed by Paramount Pictures as “an epic musical fantasy,” and after one look at the film’s first teaser trailer, you can see why.
Embedded below, the first video peek at Rocketman shows a film that’s a mix between a traditional biopic and a bold production similar to 2007’s Beatles film Across The Universe. While it’s certainly too early to talk about “awards season” because of Rocketman’s May 2019 release, it’s difficult not to think it’ll be up for Best Costume Design.
Rocketman stars Taron Egerton as Elton John, Jamie Bell as songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as former manager/boyfriend John Reid and Bryce Dallas Howard and John’s mother, Sheila.
