Joan Jett has a new Signature guitar with Gibson, and she shows off the stunning guitar in a new video.

Jett’s new ES-339 Signature has a hollow body, which she, herself, says has “a certain connotation, but it rocks.”

Jett then explains the ES-339 is symbolic by saying, “I was told girls can’t play rock and roll. ‘You can’t do that!’ ‘Why?’ ‘They just don’t do it. Girls don’t do it.’ So, I started playing guitar and playing rock and roll. [It’s] the same thing with this guitar. This poor guitar has been told it can only do a certain kind of music, you know, and people look at it that way. And really, it can play¬†that¬†kind of music and really rocks, so it can play anything. I just say give her a chance, and she’ll blow your mind.”
