VIDEO: Dave Grohl and His Daughter Sing ‘My Hero’ at the Leeds Festival
Dave Grohl had a really sweet father/daughter moment during the Foo Fighters set at the Leeds Festival this past weekend when he and his daughter, Violet, traded vocals on the Foo hit “My Hero.”
Grohl introduced his daughter by saying to the packed festival crowd, “This has been a special trip for me because on this trip we have a new Foo Fighter in the band with us. Let me tell you something, she is the best f-cking singer I know. Ladies and gentlemen, the best singer in the Grohl family: Miss Violet Grohl right now, right here!”
Later in the song during, Grohl addressed the crowd again with his arm around Violet and said, “I’ll tell you what it’s like to be on tour with your daughter. We stayed up all night long watching horror movies and ordering room service. And then, I get up. I got to make sure she’s in the lobby on time. I gotta make sure she gets a nap. I gotta make sure she gets breakfast. And then, she gets to come out and sing to 60,000 people. That’s what it’s like being Violet Grohl tonight!”
As far as night’s out with your day, that’s pretty awesome.
