Guitar lovers and Slash fans will surely covet the new Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck from Gibson that was just announced for release.

The limited-edition guitar is an “exacting replica” of the Doubleneck, which according to Gibson, Slash originally bought in 1990 from a small music shop in Indiana.

So, what drew Slash to that doubleneck in the first place? The answer is quite simple.

“Us guitar geeks love guitars, and it’s just more of it!” laughed Slash. “Just looking at it and going, ‘Wow! That’s just awesome.’ Whatever you find esthetically pleasing about a guitar, a doubleneck is just more of that.

Full specs on the 1966 EDS-1275 Doubleneck, as well as pre-order details, can be found at Gibson.com.
