Election Day is Nov. 3rd – Make Your Plan to Vote
November 3rd is Election Day. Here’s how to make your vote count!
- 10/10/2020 is the last day for DE residents to register
- 10/13/2020 is the last day for NJ residents to register
- 10/19/2020 is the last day for PA residents to register
- 10/27/2020 is the last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot in PA
Check your state government’s website to register in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. If you submitted a mail-in ballot application for PA, you can check its status by going to pavoterservices.gov.
Locate Your Polling Place
If you choose to vote in person instead of by mail, you’ll need to know where to go on November 3rd. Vote.org lists polling places by state. Keep in mind that your usual polling place may have changed locations since the last election. Some voters may be directed to a concert hall this time around.
Step 3: Spread the Word
Talk to friends and family and encourage them to check their registration status. You can also learn about ways to volunteer your time on Election Day and become a poll worker.
Step 4: VOTE on Election Day
You’re all set – now get to the polls! Check with your boss to see if you can arrive later in the morning, or leave early to make sure you have time to cast your vote. Wear your mask while you wait and keep a safe distance in line. Polls will be open until 8pm. As long as you get in line by 8pm, you will be able to vote.
If you’re voting by mail, send in your ballot as early as you can. It’s recommended that you mail it two weeks prior to November 3rd. You can also use a ballot drop off box – check your state government website for exact locations.
