Meat Loaf to Launch New Reality Show Called ‘I’d Do Anything for Love’

Meat Loaf will be the executive producer of a new reality show loosely based on his 1993 hit "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)."

Per Deadline, "In each episode, two couples will put their relationship on the line for the show’s cash prize. After two rounds of absurd and sometimes frightening physical contests, inspired and accompanied by ballads, the couple on top will advance to the 'Endgame,' where their faith in each other will undergo the ultimate challenge."

It's not known if Meat Loaf, himself, will also host the show, but he will certainly be part of it in more than just a producer role. Deadline adds the singer will "...pull the strings in the show...all to a soundtrack of classic hits, performed live in studio by the original artists as well as new stars."

The show is being developed by Nobody's Hero, the production company started by Christopher Potts and Jonty Nash. Potts and Nash are best known for creating the Netflix hit baking competition show Nailed It!

Currently, there's no known production schedule or premiere date for I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That).
