Wolfgang Van Halen received his first Grammy nomination today (November 23) in the category of Best Rock Song for the Mammoth WVH song "Distance."

Understandably, Wolfgang was thrilled with the news and tweeted out, "Holy s--- I just got nominated for a Grammy." However, his mother, Valerie Bertinelli (whose Twitter handle is @Wolfiesmom), was over the moon for her son.

Bertinelli replied to the Recording Academy's announcement with, "CONGRATULATIONS @WolfVanHalen!!" and then followed that up by retweeting the announcement with a GIF of Will Ferrell from Elf visibly freaking out.

"Distance" was the first single released by Mammoth WVH, and it served as a tribute to Wolfgang's late father, Eddie Van Halen.
