Bruce Springsteen: Details on ‘Born In The U.S.A.’ 40th Anniversary Vinyl

Bruce Springsteen recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of his classic album Born In The U.S.A. As expected, the album is getting a special 40th anniversary edition vinyl pressing.

Per Springsteen's website, the anniversary edition of Born In The U.S.A. will be pressed on translucent red vinyl. Additionally, the reissue " ... will feature a gatefold sleeve and exclusive booklet with archival material from the era, new liner notes penned by Erik Flannigan and a four-color lithograph."

The 40th anniversary vinyl of Born In The U.S.A. comes out on June 14 and is available for pre-order at BruceSpringsteen.store, Amazon and via RecordStoreDay.com, where you can pre-order the title from your local record store.

Springsteen ‘Curb’ Cameo Submitted for Emmy Nomination

In other Springsteen news: The Boss could finally become an EGOT winner thanks to his cameo during the final season of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

According to Variety, the series submitted 35 different nominations for the upcoming Primetime Emmys. As expected, Outstanding Comedy Series is one of the nominations, along with various acting nominations for Larry David, J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, Tracey Ullman and the late Richard Lewis.

A significant portion of the nomination submissions is in the guest acting categories. In total, 15 people who appeared in the final season of Curb were submitted for Outstanding Guest Actor/Actress. Springsteen is among that group of 15. Other names submitted by Curb for Outstanding Guest Actor/Actress include Steve Buscemi, Ted Danson, Saverio Guerra, Sean Hayes, Greg Kinnear, Conan O’Brien, Jerry Seinfeld, Vince Vaughn, Allison Janney, Ellia English, Sanaa Lathan, Sienna Miller, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Stephanie Styles.

Springsteen's Previous Emmy Nominations

If Springsteen snags an Outstanding Gust Actor nomination, it would be his first acting Emmy nomination. However, The Boss has three Primetime Emmy Award nominations to his name. Per IMDb, Springsteen's first Emmy nomination came in 2001 for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band: Live in New York City.

The second nomination came in 2009 for Outstanding Special Class - Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Programs for his halftime show performance at Super Bowl XLIII. The third nomination came in 2019 for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) for Springsteen on Broadway.

As for Springsteen's other EGOT-related honors, he previously won an Oscar for Best Original Song for "Streets of Philadelphia" in 1994, a Special Tony Award for Springsteen on Broadway in 2018 and 20 Grammy Awards over the course of his career.
