Tara’s Happy Boxes Nonprofit to date has created , filled, donated and delivered over 1,400 happy boxes to children!
Each box is filled with toys, crayons, books, socks, giftcards, legos, jacks, puzzles etc. each with a beanie baby tied to the tops! These keepsake boxes have been given to children’s organizations such as CASA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Boys and Girls Clubs, Atlanticare, Kisses for Kyle, an orphanage in South Africa.
Tara’s Happy Boxes latest mission is to help 8000 children in need in Philadelphia. These keepsake boxes can travel through life with these children, keeping their most favorite mementos in their happy boxes. This will help them navigate through the challenges they face and remind of the adversities they overcame. Each box has a warrior poem on the inside!
Atlanticare Behavioral Health Clinic in EHT, NJ has actually received over 250 from us and call them coping boxes, where their counselors have taken a happy box to a child in crisis even in the middle of the night! Every child loves to receive a gift, and our happy boxes are a huge hit with the recipients so far, they bring happiness, calmness and many smiles! Our happy boxes have helped children who are sick with cancer, facing economic and social struggles, mental and other physical disabilities.
