This week we paid extra attention to those beautiful Beatles harmonies, and we celebrated 55 years since The Beatles came to America and played on the Ed Sullivan Show.
We paid tribute to Buddy Holly on the 60th anniversary of his passing by playing a block of Buddy covers by the Boys.
This week we celebrated the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' last public performance on January 30, 1969. Thanks to Ken Mansfield, "the man in the white coat," for coming on the show to talk about being up there on the roof of Apple to witness history!
We featured more 50th anniversary Get Back/Let It Be session audio, as well as a set of live George, some Esher demos and an extremely rare version of Paul performing "Come And Get It" with Badfinger in the studio.
We played more outtakes from the Get Back/Let It Be sessions as well as a nice early John Lennon demo and a gorgeous cover by a London-based singer/songwriter.
Happy Goo Year, Beatles fans! We started off the year with a new song by Paul (he never stops, does he?!?!), began looking at the 50th anniversary of the Get Back/Let It Be sessions and we played a great cover by a local duo - identical twin sisters!
Legendary producer Sir George Martin would’ve turned 93 today (January 3), and while he is best known for his work with The Beatles, Martin worked with countless other artists in his incredible career. Here’s a five non-Beatles track sampling of from his astounding career.
Paul McCartney is heading into the New Year in a big way with the release of the new track “Get Enough.”
Hope you enjoyed our Wings special in the 2nd hour of the show!
If you haven’t taken a moment to check out Paul McCartney’s new video for “Who Cares,” carve out some time, because it is visually stunning!
