An Ode to Kent Dorfman
If you were busy this past Father’s Day weekend, you may have missed the news of the passing of actor Stephen Furst.
Furst, who according to a statement from his sons died at the age of 63 due to complications from diabetes, appeared in TV series Babylon 5 and St. Elsewhere, but he’ll be fondly remembered by most as the loveable, “real zero” Kent Dorfman from the 1978 comedy classic Animal House.
From pledging Delta House to politely requesting 10,000 marbles, here are five of our favorite “Flounder” moments.
“What’s my Delta Tau Chi name?”
“It’s a pledge pin, sir.”
“Maybe he had a heart attack!”
“I can’t believe I threw up in front of Dean Wormer.”

“Oh boy…is this great!”
