WASHINGTON, DC - NOVEMBER 22: U.S. President Barack Obama presents the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Diana Ross during an East Room ceremony at the White House November 22, 2016 in Washington, DC. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest honor for civilians in the United States of America.
In this moment, “diva” is spelled D-I-A-N-A.
The iconic Diana Ross turns 74 today (March 24), and while she’s received many honors throughout her legendary career, she received the highest civilian honor in November 2016 when President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Ross was among an incredible group of recipients, including Ellen DeGeneres, Cicely Tyson and Bruce Springsteen, but as always, she reigned supreme
