(Photo Illustration by Mario Tama/Getty Images)Marvel seems to be in some hot water. TMZ is reporting that a Hungarian man, Zoltan Krisko, is suing not only Marvel, but Fox, Apple, Amazon, and Disney for stealing the intro music from a show called Linda.
Zoltan Krisko manages the estate of Gyorgy Vukan, the composer of the Linda theme song, and says it sounds exactly like the intro that old X-Men cartoons used to use. Although Linda was a popular cop comedy/thriller that aired in Hungary from 1984 to 1991, Krisko only learned about the X-Men series and its theme music in 2017. According to legal docs, he alleges that "all the success the franchise achieved for Marvel and many other companies is a result of that iconic and stolen theme song."
Krisko also adds that the way Marvel learned of the theme song was by rubbing elbows with Hungarian film professionals back in the '80s.
