Studies Show That Americans Are Drinking More While Working At Home
Coronavirus has got everyone on edge, and apparently, they are turning to alcohol to help ease their stresses. Per Alcohol.org, a recent study was done that shows that Americans are drinking more while they are working from home.
According to the survey of 3000 people, more than one-third say they are likely to drink more alcohol in isolation. And beer is the beverage of choice. The states that are drinking the most: Virginia and Rhode Island. Half of their population surveyed reported drinking on the job while working remotely. Right behind them with 40 percent are Nevada, Nebraska, Idaho, Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Montana. At just under 40 were California and New York.
The survey also adds that one-fifth of people stockpiled alcohol to prepare for self-isolation. To see where your state came in, view the results here.
